This notice explains how Cvedo uses cookies. The short version: we don't set any until you say yes, and we never use the kind that follow you around the web. It sits alongside our Privacy notice.
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between page loads, and on many sites they track you across the web for advertising.
Cvedo is privacy-first. We set no cookies until you choose. You don't need an account, so there's no login cookie, and we never use advertising cookies that build a profile of you or show you ads elsewhere. When you first visit, a small banner asks whether you're happy for us to measure our ads. Say no — which is completely fine — and we set nothing that measures you.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your cookie choice | Remembers whether you accepted or declined, so we don't ask again every visit | Strictly necessary (set only after you choose) | Up to 1 year |
| Google Ads measurement (only if you accept) | Lets us see which Google ad brought someone who later bought a report, so we don't waste money on ads that don't work. We use it to count purchases — not to track you around the web or profile you. | Advertising (consent) | Up to 90 days |
| Microsoft Advertising (UET) measurement (only if you accept) | The same, for Microsoft/Bing ads — lets us see which Microsoft ad brought someone who later bought a report. Used to count purchases, not to track you around the web or profile you. | Advertising (consent) | Up to ~13 months |
If you click Accept, we load Google's and Microsoft's advertising tags, which set cookies and tell Google and Microsoft when a visit from one of our ads led to a purchase. They process this in the United States (and, for Microsoft, the EU) under Standard Contractual Clauses. We only use them to measure our own ads. If you click No thanks, the tags never load and none of these cookies are set. You can change your mind any time by clearing the choice cookie in your browser.
When you pay, checkout is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own secure pages, which set their own cookies to process the transaction and prevent fraud (see Stripe's notices). We don't run social-media pixels or any other tracking.
We may update this notice; the "last updated" date will change. Questions: privacy@cvedo.co.uk. See also our Privacy notice and Terms of Service.
